Sihlcity becomes a winter wonderland

Sihlcity puts its visitors in a festive mood during the Christmas season with an unforgettable winter wonderland. Visitors are welcomed at Utoplatz by a majestic 7-metre deer, while two smaller, three-metre deer greet them on Kalanderplatz and in the center. 

Many other small animals can also be discovered in the center. Emil the fairy-tale owl guides you through the wintery world of Sihlcity inside the mall. In the fox's den, little ones can listen to various fairy tales with headphones or make fox masks and magnetic animals in the children's craft area.

Homely hospitality awaits visitors at “Fräulein Holle”. The pop-up fondue chalet on Kalanderplatz ensures full bellies and a good atmosphere with a variety of cheeses. There is also an interactive ice fishing game in the Sihlcity app to cater to visitors who like to play. Using augmented reality, the app can be used to fish for prizes at over 80 “ice holes” in and outside the mall. 

As bricks-and-mortar retail is under increasing pressure, concepts are needed that appeal to visitors' senses and offer them an unforgettable experience. For this project, the center management worked with external partners who are among the best in their fields. The Center Management played an important role in brainstorming and conception. The response from visitors and the media was remarkable.
