From the Red Tower to the «Turm Areal Winterthur»

In future, the Red Tower and the buildings in the immediate vicinity in Winterthur will be linked by more than just their striking red brick façades. The mixed-use site management of Switzerland's leading integrated real estate service provider, Wincasa, is planning to further revitalize the area under the name "Turm Areal Winterthur". The redevelopment of the "Turm Areal Winterthur" is a joint project between Wincasa and Swiss Prime Site Immobilien AG, the owner of the properties.

Site upgrade for tenants and residents
In order to make the identity of the site visible, the first step will be to install a new visitor guidance system with uniform signage from November 2019. This should be fully installed by spring 2020. The catering concept will also be adapted. The restaurant will now be located on the second floor of the Red Tower. The SV Group is responsible for the culinary offering on behalf of the ZHAW and it is also open to other tenants and the general public. A further step towards enhancing the area is the greening of the inner courtyard. The overall structural implementation will be completed by spring 2021. Since the Red Tower was built at the end of 1999, the needs of tenants and the general public have changed over time.

Sites have their own identity 
Across Switzerland, more and more sites are being created that are home to a wide variety of players. Such mixed-use sites are very diverse and require new, strategic brand management skills. With its Mixed-Use Site Management division, Wincasa has been providing precisely such expertise and the associated know-how since the beginning of 2017. Due to the constantly growing demand, this area has already grown to five locations across Switzerland, where a total of 30 employees are responsible for this modern type of management and marketing.
